My baby graduates from Kindergarten
So long Honeytree- hello MATES! Brandon is the last of the Holt's to graduate from Honeytree Kindergarten. 9 years of Honeytree (for mom!), 9 years of Christmas programs, End of Year programs, Graduations, etc. We had a wonderful experience with this school. The kids were all loved by their wonderful teachers. Thank you to all of you!

Redwood 8th grade promotion dance
So our little Amy is graduating from the 8th grade. On to Thousand Oaks High School in the fall. Amazing. This little tiny girl grew up so fast. We are so proud of her. She is an accomplished young woman and we can't wait to see what she will accomplish the next four years.

Reptile Party
Brandon's classmate Vinny held a "reptile party" this week where the Reptile Family brought frogs, lizards, snakes and more to Vinny's house. The kids got to hold them and pet them. It was exciting. Brandon REALLY wanted to be first so he held a large frog. I could see it was about to get tossed because he was freaking out so he quickly gave it back. Later he held a snake!
Raymonds Farewell
Our good friends the Raymond's- Gary, Kristi, Cassie, and Connor are moving to Arizona in a few weeks. We will miss them so much- such a great family- awesome sense of humor, spunky, fun, and great people to know. We celebrated at a pool party to say goodbye.

Brandon the gymnast
So one night Brandon asks us if we want to see him do a cartwheel. We say "sure" because thats what you are supposed to say when your kid asks you that question. All of a sudden he locks into a super stiff crazy pose- hands uplifted and leg out and he cracks of the most amazing cartwheel- hard, fast, almost violent. We sat in stunned silence for a moment then broke into applause. So I was prepared when I went to his school last week for the gymnastics "show" where the kids show all the parents what they have learned. As he came upon the mat for the cartwheel I watched in awe as he did it again, and every parent in the room gasped and broke into applause. It was hilarious. They were all talking about it afterward- calling him Brandon Lee and saying he looked like a ninja. Hilarious.

Ashlyn is a double digit midget
This is what all her friends called her on her 10th birthday. She had a family party, then on her actual birthday we went to dinner, then she had a "friends" party too. Geez. Talk about birthday week extravaganza! It was fun to see her celebrate with friends from school and church.
